Catherine Probst Sinclair

June 23, 1928 - April 16, 2016

Catherine Probst Sinclair, MD, daughter of Theodore J. and Louisa Probst, was born June 23, 1928 in New Athens, IL. She graduated from Loyola University with a BS in 1952 and earned her MD from the University of Illinois College of Medicine in 1962.

Dr. Sinclair was a physical therapist in the US Army from 1953-1956 and went on to have a successful medical practice where she worked in hospitals in several states before retiring in March of 2002. She married Mitchell Sinclair of McMurray, PA in April of 1969 and enjoyed their life in Pennsylvania, while taking regular trips to the Virgin Islands until his passing in March of 2002. Dr. Sinclair relocated to Dallas, Texas in 2014 to be closer to family. She enjoyed three generations of loving nieces and nephews until her passing on April 16th, 2016.

Though the Medical Examiner quickly attributed Sinclair’s death to natural causes, her niece and nephew noticed immediately the evidence that suggested the contrary and spent years seeking justice for their beloved Aunt. The family believes Catherine Probst Sinclair to be the first known victim of Billy Chemirmir.
