Holiday Greetings!

In the midst of a pandemic and during the holidays we, as a group, have made great strides in our quest for education, legislation, and justice for the senior living communities.

Update: On December 8th the Dallas County Grand Jury indicted Billy Chemirmir for three more homicides – Joyce Abramowitz, Margaret White and Doris Wasserman. These indictments bring the total to 17 homicides by this serial killer.  One more case is due to go to the Grand Jury in the near future.

Our understanding is the trial originally scheduled to begin April 5, 2021 is delayed to late 2021 or early 2022. We, the families, will be there whenever it occurs to see justice served in honor of our loved ones.

December brought a plethora of media attention to our story.

People Magazine interviewed many victim families and captured the emotions we have experienced.

We were very excited to see the first bill introduced for the upcoming legislative session to correct one of the many wrongs experienced by victim families.

The Dallas Morning News continues to not only tell our story; the Editorial Board came out in support of our legislative efforts.

This memorable year, 2020 has been quite the rollercoaster for all of us. We look forward to success in making changes and improving senior security in 2021!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
